The product is suitable for exterior and interior use and can be applied on:
- New, old or previously varnished woodwork; (doors, skirting boards, beams, panels, etc.)
- Any other article made from wood requiring either professional or DIY painting.
- Non-anodized aluminum and galvanized surfaces.
- On masonry in houses, business premises, hospitals, for civil use in general.
- On plastic materials and PVC.
The product can NOT BE PAINTED OVER with nitrocellulose-based products, or products thinned with nitro thinner.
Pay ATTENTION to the treatment of woods rich in tannin. To prevent the formation of unaesthetic dark stains apply specific primer.

- Type of binder: water-based acrylic copolymer
- Specific gravity per UNI EN ISO 2811-1: 1,33 ± 0,05 kg/l
- Drying (at 25 °C and 65% R.H.): touch dry 2 hours, coatability after 4 hours.

For application by brush and roller dilute at 10-15% with water. 
For application by spray-gun dilute at 15-20% with water.

Mix the product properly before the tinting phase and the application cycle.
Do not apply on wet/fresh substrates, wait a maturation time, generally of four weeks.

Woodwork: Sand lightly in order to remove the raised wood fibers. 
Eliminate any coats of old flaking varnish and coarsen all the surfaces which have already been varnished. Remove any resin using the Nitro thinner. 
Fill the imperfections with synthetic filler. Rub down the fillings and eliminate any dust.
Apply 2 coats of Fondo Universale on a clean, dry surface.
After at least 4 hours proceed with the application of the finishing product.

Plaster surfaces: Make sure that the surface is thoroughly dried and aged. Resurface or consolidate using specific products if necessary.
If mold is present, treat the surface with adequate products. 
Brush or wash to remove any efflorescence and any old peeling paint. Eliminate completely any raised layers of lime-based or tempera paints.
Remove any dust, smog or other deposits by brushing.
Level any irregularities in the surface and treat holes, cracks, crevices and gaps. Use adequate sealants to seal any cracks.
Sand putty and touch-ups with sandpaper; remove dust.
Smooth the substrate with adequate products, if required. On highly chalking surfaces, apply one coat of Decofix (water-based sealer based on micro-emulsions).
Apply 2 coats of Fondo Universale on a clean, dry surface. 
After at least 4 hours proceed with the application of the finishing product.

Galvanized aluminum or light alloys: Remove all traces of oxide by means of mechanical or manual cleaning. 
Carefully remove any grease using suitable alkaline solutions or thinner. 
Apply 2 coats of Fondo Universale on a clean, dry surface. 
After at least 4 hours proceed with the application of the finishing product.

Plastic (PVC): Sand the surface in order to coarsen it slightly. 
Remove any grease from the surface and clean. 
Apply 2 coats of Fondo Universale on a clean, dry surface. 
After at least 4 hours proceed with the application of the finishing product.

When applying, the material must be protected from the cold and from big heat changes during the entire application process. 
Do not apply at air, background and product temperatures below +5°C or above +35 °C. 
Ambient humidity must be <75%; background humidity must be <10%.
In order not to compromise the optimal appearance and performance of the product, we recommend applying it in the above-mentioned ambient conditions.
It is advisable to complete each work with materials from the same batch of production. When using multiple batches, it is recommended to remix the various products together to avoid slight differences in shading.

The correct use of equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) is recommended during all phases of background and product preparation, and of application).

With water, immediately after use.

4-5 m2/l, in two coats, depending on the kind of substrate and absorption rate. It is recommended to test the effective yield with a previous trial on the specific substrate.

The product should preferably be used within 2 years if stored in its original, unopened containers and under suitable temperature conditions.
Storage temperature: from +5 °C to 30 °C.
