The application of Dune Opaco is simple and practical and allows to easily achieve high-quality visual and tactile effects to both, professional applicator and private unprofessional customers.
Due to its high versatility, Dune Opaco can be applied using different tools and permits to achieve many different shades, textures and customized effects.

Ready to use for applications with a stainless steel trowel. Dilute with maximum 20% of water if applied with a roller.

Mix the product properly before the tinting phase and the application cycle.
Do not apply on wet/fresh substrates, wait a maturation time, generally of four weeks.

The substrate must be perfectly dry, dust-free, with no humidity and salt stains.
Resurface or consolidate the surface with specific products if necessary.
In case of mould, treat the surface with suitable specific products.
Brush or remove any efflorescence and old peeling paint. Higher layers of old lime-based paint and tempera paint must be removed.
Brush out dust, smog or other deposits before the application.
In case of non-homogeneous or chalky surfaces, apply one layer of Decofix (micronized wall sealer) diluted, with a brush.
Over dry and compact substrates, apply one layer of Novaprimer (water-based acrylic pigmented primer), diluted, with a brush or with a roller.
Wait for the fixative to dry completely before applying Novalux I or Novalux E water-based paint. 
Over dry primer, apply one layer of Dune Opaco with a roller or with a trowel, spreading the paint evenly. Remove any exceeding amounts of product. Once the surface is completely dry, apply a second layer of Dune Opaco, not diluted, with a stainless-steel trowel or with a short-hair roller using a bit more material. Work into the surface still wet using a stainless steel trowel with circular movements, working the product until reaching the desired effect.
Drying time: 24 hours approx. depending on the kind of substrate, absorption rate and environmental conditions.

When applying, the material must be protected from the cold and from big heat changes during the entire application process. 
Do not apply at air, background and product temperatures below +5°C or above +35 °C. 
Ambient humidity must be <75%; background humidity must be <10%.
In order not to compromise the optimal appearance and performance of the product, we recommend applying it in the above-mentioned ambient conditions.
It is advisable to complete each work with materials from the same batch of production. When using multiple batches, it is recommended to remix the various products together to avoid slight differences in shading.

The correct use of equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) is recommended during all phases of background and product preparation, and of application).
